Support for children and young people with mental health needs as part of the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service

Children with disabilities and other needs

Community paediatric teams,  the children's community nursing team and the children's therapy team all support children with disabilities and other healthcare needs, and their families, in managing their care. Respite care is available for children and young people aged 5-18 and there are nursery sessions for pre-school children with special needs.
There are particular specialist services for children with diabetes and children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.

ECAT- Every Child a Talker

ECAT(Every Child a Talker) is a national programme that promotes the development of young children’s communication, speech and language skills by engaging with parents, families and adults working with children aged 0-5.
