Our Community Children’s Nurses are registered nurses who aim to deliver the best available healthcare for children with complex medical needs in our community.
Skilled nurses help sick children to remain in their own homes.
For children with continuing health needs, the nurses develop packages of home nursing care in partnership with parents and with specialists such as the Ellenor Foundation (which provides hospice care in the home for children living with cancer and other life threatening illnesses) and Tadworth Court (originally the country branch of Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital and now part of the Children’s Trust).
You can contact the Community Children’s Nursing team for confidential advice or an appointment through your child’s GP, health visitor, school nurse or paediatrician. Alternatively you can phone direct. The service is available to children aged 0-16 years (up to 18 years for children with special needs).
